Joshua Blosser
To be an existentialist, one must choose his own path in life outside government and religion, and Joshua (honey badger) Blosser has done just that. He lives his life the way he wants to, even though most people would consider him lazy and apathetic. However, he believes his life to be fulfilling because his actions make him happy, and he doesn't constrain himself with laws or religious belief.
Examples
The best way to learn about existentialism is to apply it to an example one can relate with. For instance, each person develops his own goal in life that fulfills him, just like each of us chooses a separate career path.

My desire in life is to be able to help ones who cannot help themselves. I aspire to become a Neonatal Nurse so that I will be able to help premature infants develop into healthy, happy babies. My need to help others expresses who I am. Seeing a mother's happy face at the improvement of her baby will fulfil my self-given duty.

The purpose I see for my life is being a Make-up Artist. I enjoy not only making people feel beautiful and confident in their everyday appearance but also in the setting of a theatre. Fantasy makeup, such as face painting, Halloween make-up, and theatrical make-up are some of the things I plan on doing. I enjoy creating art on more than a piece of paper.

Finally, how I see myself fulfilling my purpose in life by becoming a pharmaceutical researcher. My contributions to medicine will give me a sense of purpose because it will provide other people with cures for possibly fatal illnesses, and families may no longer lose thier loved ones to diseases such as cancer.
